Dr. R. Capers Lee
Dr. Capers Lee lives by the philosophy that “you treat others as you want to be treated.” He is compassionate when it comes to his patients’ needs, and he enjoys building strong and lasting relationships with each person.
Aside from being a dedicated doctor and devoted friend to his patients, Dr. Lee is first and foremost a loving husband and father to his wife and family. He has been married to his wonderful wife Tilly for more than 30 years, and they have three sons: Hunter, Banks, and Myles. Since 1986, Dr. Lee and his family have been living in the Sumter/Manning area. In addition to spending time with his wife and family, Dr. Lee enjoys going camping, fishing, and four-wheeling. He has also participated in coaching over 30 community baseball and football teams.
Dr. Lee is also heavily involved in the Sumter community and the international dental community. He has been a Sunday school teacher at for over 25 years and has chaired and served on numerous church committees. Dr. Lee is a volunteer for the Health Reach program at Tuomey Hospital, which helps treat the needy, and is member of the American Dental Association and South carolina Dental Association. He also serves in DAD day and Habitat for Humanity.
Missions, both domestic and foreign, are of utmost importance to Dr. Lee. He truly enjoys volunteering on dental mission trips and considers them to be a cornerstone of his practice. Thus far he has visited Peru, Honduras, Trinidad, Ecuador and Venezuela to provide free dental care and share the gospel with others. the teams are able to offer not only extractions but also an array of restorative treatment, cleanings, fluoride treatments and oral hygiene education using portable dental units. They show the love of Christ by treating the dental needs of those less fortunate in a caring and loving was and as often as possible.
Internationally, Dr. Lee has participated in over 30 foreign minission trips with the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, Christian Dental Society, Evangelism Task Force, and Global Health Outreach and Dental Community Fellowship. Dr. Lee helped start Dental Community Fellowship, which is a nonprofit organization through which the trips are organized. He is able to offer not only extractions but also an array of restorative treatments, cleanings, fluoride treatment, and oral hygiene education with the purchase of generators, air compressors, and portable dental units. He tries to show the love of Christ by treating the dental needs of those less fortunate in a caring and loving way, and as painlessly as possible.
Dr. Lee would like to thank all of his patients for partnering with him in his efforts to serve others. Dr. R Hunter Lee
Dr. Hunter Lee joined Dental Team in August of 2021 after serving five years in the US Air Force. He is passionate and dedicated in his role of educating and guiding his patients to do what’s best for them individually.
Dr. Hunter is happily married to his amazing wife Anna of almost 10 years. They both grew up in the Sumter/Manning area and have two sons and a daughter: Carson, Miller and Addison. Dr. Hunter and his family enjoy fishing, hunting and most of all gardening. Like his father, Dr. Hunter is very involved in the foreign and domestic mission field. He was fortunate to go on many trips with his father before and during dental school. It was on these missions to South America that he realized the power of taking people out of pain and sharing with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
