Appointment Cancellations

We realize that extenuating circumstances arise that might make appointment maintenance difficult at times; however, in order to better serve our patients, we kindly ask for notice of schedule changes at least 24 hours in advance. This will allow us to treat other patients in need especially those who are experiencing pain and discomfort. The Dental Team of Sumter reserves the right to charge $50 for broken appointments.

Infection Control
To assure your health and safety while you visit the office, the Dental Team of Sumter adheres to the latest guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We heat sterilize all of the patient care items, instruments and handpieces and use quality water that meets the safe drinking water standard for dental procedures.
X-Rays
Radiographs enable the clinicians to make an accurate diagnosis. If you have had bitewing x-rays taken within the last 12 months or a panorex within the last three years, please bring a copy of these radiographs with you. The Dental Team adheres to the As Low As Reasonably Achievable principle and precautions are in place to assure safe exposure for patients and staff. Radiation exposure for dental x-rays is extremely minimal, comparable to sunshine or an airline flight. For further details, please consult one of our team members.
