Front Desk
Julie Tracy
Julie Tracy is a native of Portsmouth, Ohio, and moved to South Carolina in 1990. She is the office manager for the Dental Team. Julie has two daughters, Amanda and Tiffany. Her favorite activities are teaching Sunday school and youth group, and any activities that involve the outdoors. She enjoys working in a Christian office where the main goal is to serve patients. Julie thinks the entire staff is awesome and says Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent are the best doctors in the world.
Lorrie Scudder
Lorrie Scudder is a native of Camden, South Carolina, and has lived in Sumter since 1994. She has been with the Dental Team since 2002 as the Appointment Coordinator. She has been married to Keith Scudder for 14 years and they have two wonderful children, Nicholas and Sydney. Lorrie loves spending time with her family. She enjoys working alongside her fellow co-workers and thinks that Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent are wonderful men to work for. They are Godly men that keep work light with their funny personalities. Lorrie enjoys seeing patients get excited after having their dental work done.
Mimi Burnish
Mimi Burnish is a native of Sumter. She has been in the dental field since 2001 and a part of the Dental Team since 2007. She is the Hygiene Coordinator. Mimi enjoys spending time with her boys, Benjamin and Gregory, and the family dog, Ally. Her favorite thing about dentistry is helping people achieve a smile they can be happy with. She enjoys working with Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent because they are caring, supportive Christian men.
Brooke Carter
Brooke Carter lives in Sumter. She doesn't have any children, unless you count her dog, Brodie. She enjoys being with friends, family, and going to Carolina games. Go Gamecocks! Brooke has been a member of the Dental Team of Sumter for 4 years and is the Insurance Coordinator. This entails contacting the insurance companies and getting all the details on patients' insurance, filing claims, and posting payments. Brooke thinks the Christian atmosphere at the Dental Team is wonderful and so are the people; they are always there for each other. Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent both have a great sense of humor. Brooke really enjoys meeting different people and seeing their joy when their smiles are restored.
Dental Assistants
Ivy Walker
Ivy Walker lives with her husband, Allen, and their daughter Hailie in Manning. She enjoys family time, shopping, hanging out with friends, football, and NASCAR. She is a Certified Dental Assistant, having finished training in 2001and has been with the Dental Team of Sumter for 7 years. She loves making patients smile and still gets excited about helping patients achieve dental work that they are proud of. Becoming friends with patients and meeting new people is what Ivy enjoys most. It is important to her that patients are comfortable and to ensure that they are getting the best dental care possible. Ivy thinks it is important for people to understand the importance of having healthy oral care and whole-body wellness. Ivy says that Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent are a lot of fun to work with, as they not only have genuine care for their patients, but they are Godly men. Ivy and the rest of the team recommend work for their patients that they would do in their own mouths. Ivy says, "Come in and see us! I can't wait to meet you, talk with you, and help you with your dental needs."
Marie Foster
Marie Foster resides in Summerton with her husband, Sam, where they have lived for 5 years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, also cooking, sewing, and boating with her husband. She has been in dentistry for 23+ years and has been with the Dental Team of Sumter for 3 years. She enjoys working alongside the doctors and learning the new techniques dentistry has to offer. Marie looks forward to one on one contact with every patient. It is important to her that all her patients are comfortable and to assure them that they are getting the best of dental care. Marie says she enjoys working with Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent because they are Godly men and have great personalities. They are fun and easy to work with.
Alisha Wise
Alisha Wise, a dental assistant, has been a part of the dental field since 1998, assisting doctors with various dental procedures. A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Alisha relocated to Sumter, South Carolina, in June of 2008 and has been a part of the Dental Team since July 2008. Some of her favorite things about working with the Dental Team would include: the chance to work in a Christian atmosphere, the way that each patient is treated as family, and helping patients feel better about themselves through a new smile. She also is active in her church and enjoys her family, friends, and reading.
Stacy Garcia
Stacy Garcia joined the Dental Team of Sumter in February of 2009 after relocating to Sumter with her husband, who is in the United States Air Force, and their son Jarron. She is a Certified Dental Assistant having received her training from Pima Medical Institute in 2005 where she finished with honors. She then spent 3 years assisting and helping build a practice from the ground up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With a contagious happiness, Stacy loves to serve patients in any manner possible. Helping change a patient’s perception of the dentist and restoring smiles inspire her daily. Away from the office, Stacy enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake.
Dental Hygienists
Renee
Renee is a native of Manning, South Carolina, and now lives in Alcolu with her husband, Daniel, and two children, Ross age 12 and Sarah age 7. Renee has worked in Dentistry since 1988, first as a dental assistant and then as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has an associate's degree in Health Science and she also received her bachelor's of Health Science degree in 2006. She has worked at the Dental Team of Sumter since 1992 and loves working with Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent because they are Godly men who love to serve others. Her most rewarding moments as a dental hygienist are when she is able to educate her patients on periodontal (gum) disease and when her patients return with healthy, beautiful gums. When Renee is not working at the Dental Team, she loves spending time with her husband, two children, and her other family members. She loves the beach and goes as much as she can, and she is also very active in church, where she serves as a Children's Coordinator and teaches a Sunday school class.
Melanie Steen
Melanie Steen is a native of Manning, South Carolina, and has lived in Sumter since 1982. She has an associate's degree in Health Science and has worked in the field of dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1979. Melanie has been a part of the Dental Team of Sumter since 1995. She loves working with Dr. Capers Lee and Dr. Thad Vincent because they are both Godly men who treat their employees and their patients as they would their own family. Her most rewarding moments as a Dental Hygienist are when she is able to educate and encourage patients to achieve optimum oral health as well as an overall physical well-being. When Melanie is not working at the Dental Team, she loves spending time with her family, attending Beth Moore Bible Studies, and oil painting on canvas. She has been married to Michael Steen for 26 years. They have a son, Ryan, and a daughter-in-law, Carrie.
Jennifer Clayton
Jennifer Clayton is a native of Sumter, South Carolina, and has lived in Sumter her entire life. She has an associate's degree in Health Science and has worked in the field of dentistry as a Dental Hygienist since 2007. Jennifer has been a part of the Dental Team of Sumter since 2008. She loves working for Dr. Lee and Dr. Vincent because she enjoys working in a warm, caring, Christian environment. Jennifer finds Dental Hygiene to be a rewarding career because she enjoys helping others live healthy lives. When Jennifer is not working at the Dental Team, she enjoys reading, going to NASCAR races, and spending time with her husband of two years, Alan.
